“Hi, my name is…”
Passion for wine and gastronomy is how it all started for me as manager of Vintage. After years of experience as a maître d’hôtel and sommelier at Nuance (Duffel), among others, I received the “Young Sommelier Award of Excellence” in 2011, followed by the title “Best Sommelier of Belgium 2012” and sealed with the GaultMillau award “Best Wine List 2015”.
A unique wine list that evolves in time is a given. But hospitality is also very important to me. Our guests can visit us for an extensive gastronomic dinner, but also for a short lunch. With my birth town of Ghent close by heart , I strive to see every guest return home with a big smile.
With my roots in the Brussels periphery, my paths crossed many times with Steven. Bringing our passions and style together professionally was therefore no coincidence. Fascinated by the art of cooking, I developed my own style during experiences in starred kitchens such as Eleven Madison Park (New York), De Leest (Vaassen) and Vollmers (Malmö).
With Vintage, I bring a modern French cuisine with a worldly twist in which seasonal, local products and sustainability are central. An own herb garden, fermentation and pickling are also part of it. Appreciation for nature and experimentation are the driving forces behind my kitchen. With the focus on perfection and innovation, my motivated team and I head in the same direction to provide our guests a more than pleasant experience.
